An RFID reader must be incorporated into your consumable production line, and the controller in that line must be programmed to send ASCII commands and accept responses from the reader. You can then initialize tags of the consumable prior to shipment to your customers with the data you defined.
Another reader must be integrated into the product or system that uses your consumable product. The controller in that system must also be programmed to send ASCII commands and accept responses from the reader. Customers can then use your system to read the initial data from the tags on your consumable product and update the data in the field.
